Google acquires Simplify Media. Simplify is a software developer that enables users to stream multimedia files including digital music from iTunes. In March 2010, the company removed the Simplify iPhone Application from the App Store signaling a change over to Google's platform.
Simplify has developed an elegant solution for streaming music from large music libaries on a home computer to a phone that has limited storage capacity. Google plans to integrate this streaming technology in a future version of Android, thereby augmenting Android's music capabilities.
