Google acquires Zave Networks from KB Partners, Mariner Capital Ventures, October Capital, OPENAIR Equity Partners, Thorndale Farm, Wichita Technology Ventures, and other shareholders. Zave operates an online incentive program platform for the exchange of non-cash values across retail verticals. The company’s platform supports in-store redemption of offers distributed via digital media.
January 2013 -- Google introduces Zavers by Google, which gives retailers and manufacturers the ability to reward loyal customers with digital coupons relevant to them.
June 2014 -- Zavers by Google is being closed down, with Google apparently unsatisfied with the growth of the offering.
